Cinnamon Cheesecake Bars

This month's cookie of the month is really a melt in the mouth bar, super easy with ingredients you can keep on hand for a quick snack or favorite sweet treat for company!

Cinnamon Cheesecake Bars

2 tubes Pillsbury Crescent Rolls
2 - 8oz cream cheese
1 1/2 c sugar
1 Tbsp. cinnamon
1 stick of butter, melted

Press one tube of crescent rolls into the bottom of a 9 X 13 pan.  Beat the two cream cheese with 1 cup of the sugar (reserve other 1/2 cup for topping).  Spread cheese mixture on top of rolls.  Unroll second tube of rolls and put on top of the cheese layer.  Mix reserved 1/2 cup of sugar with 1 Tbsp. cinnamon and sprinkle on top of dough.  Pour melted butter over the top.  Bake 30 minutes at 350 degrees.  Cool and cut into bars.  Very good serves slightly warm as dessert squares.  Once it is thoroughly cool, they can be picked up like a bar cookie.  Refrigerate any leftovers....if you don't devour the entire batch!  Enjoy...it will become one of your "go to" favorites.
